This Privacy Policy is intended to advise a user of or who participates in the Bay Area Piano Competition, of the personal information we collect, how we use the information we collect, and with whom we share your information. We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time and changes are effective immediately. We recommend you review this page periodically for any changes. If you choose to use our website or participate in the Competition, then you agree to the collection and use of information pursuant to this Privacy Policy.

We may collect personal information that can identify you such as your and your child or children’s full names, ages, birth dates and years,  phone number, mailing address, your e-mail addresses, your teacher’s name and e-mail address, and how you heard about us. You may provide personal information through our website, by email or by other means.  We  may require the disclosure of more personal information as necessary for you to participate in the Competition.


How We Use the Information We Collect

We may use the information that we collect about you to evaluate your recordings and information for the sole purposes of your application for Competition; communicate with you by email, postal mail about events that may be of interest to you; verify your eligibility and deliver prizes in connection with the Competition; enforce our Terms and Conditions; manage the Competition and perform functions as otherwise explained to you at the time of collection.

We may use financial information or payment method to process payment for any purposes such as application fees, for tax reporting, to protect against possible fraudulent transactions, and otherwise as needed to manage the Competition.

With Whom We Share Your Information

We do not share your personal information with others, except as indicated below.  We do not share or sell the personal information we receive from you to any third party for the purposes of monetary or valuable consideration.

Authorized service providers

We may share your personal information with our judges and authorized service providers that perform certain services on our behalf. These services may include processing payments, providing customer service and assistance, or other services necessary to support the Competition.


Change and Deletion

You may  change or delete personal information from our records. If you would like your personal information deleted, please contact us at  Upon your request, we will delete your information from our database. However, you may not be able to compete or receive any awards in the event you request your personal information deleted.

We use reasonable administrative, technical, personnel and physical measures to safeguard personal information in our possession against loss, theft and unauthorized use, disclosure or modification.
