Kayoko Kuchiishi

BM, Kunitachi Conservatory of Music; NCTM, MBA

Kayoko is a founding member of the Bay Area Piano Competition. She holds a Master of Business Administration from the University of Phoenix and a Bachelor of Music in Piano Performance from Kunitachi Conservatory of Music, one of Japan’s premier institutions of musical study. In addition, she earned a Certificate in Jazz Piano from the Berklee College of Music.

Tammy Lin

MM, Manhattan School of Music

Tammy (Yu-Tung) Lin is a Taiwanese American pianist who has performed as a solo and collaborative pianist, instrumental and vocal accompanist and oboist. As a solo pianist, she had debuts at the most prestigious concert venues in US, including Carnegie Hall and Lincoln Center of Performing Arts in NYC and Kennedy Center of Performing Arts in Washington DC. Tammy is a founding member of the Bay Area Piano Competition.

Dr. Kaden Larson

DM, IU Jacobs School of Music; NCTM

An avid solo recitalist and collaborative pianist, Dr. Larson is also a founding member of the Ensign Piano Quartet and the consonari ensemble project. He holds degrees in piano from Brigham Young University and Indiana University, where he studied with Dr. Scott Holden and Norman Krieger.

Dr. Mai Mizuno

DMA, University of North Texas

Japanese-American pianist Mai has appeared in various venues throughout the world, from Kennedy Center’s Millennium Stage in Washington, D.C., to Miyama Conseru in Japan. Mai holds Bachelor and Master of Music degrees from Indiana University and a Doctor of Musical Arts degree in Piano Performance from the University of North Texas.

Dr. TianYi Li

DMA, The Juilliard School

 

Dr. Li is a Secondary Piano instructor at the Juilliard School and a Postgraduate Teaching Fellow at the New School for Music Study. Dr. Li is the recipient of the third prize alongside numerous special prizes at the 2017 Tbilisi International Piano Competition, the sixth prize at the 2024 Xiamen International Piano Competition, and a two-time Bowdoin International Music Festival piano fellow in 2022 and 2024.

Dr. Haewon Yang

DM, IU Jacobs School of Music

Hailed as an “expressive, intelligent, and meticulous performer,” Korean-born Canadian-American pianist Haewon Yang is sought after for her flexibility across different genres and carefully studied interpretations. She has won recognition for her performances and academic work, ranging from the Music Teacher’s National Associationto the Indiana University Concerto Competition to the Korean Canadian Scholarship Foundation.
